Have you ever wanted to create your own wall size poster? Now you can with The Rasterbater.
Using the Rasterbator you can create huge rasterized images from any picture or photo. You can upload an image, print the resulting multi-page pdf file, and assemble the pages into an extremely cool looking poster up to 20 meters in size.
The Rasterbator is very easy to use. You can use the online version or download the program to your hard drive. Using The Rasterbator requires that you have Adobe Flash Player (ver. 7 or higher) and a pdf viewer such as Adobe Reader.
Here’s a photo and a poster that I created from it.
From start to finish it took about 30 minutes to print and assemble. The poster is five pages (8-1/2″x11″) wide and 3 pages tall. I really rushed the assembly because I was trying to get it finished before Holly got home from work. That’s why you can see some gaps between the pages and the glossy tape. My printer doesn’t do border-less printing, so it left a small border that I had to trim away. To get a cleaner look I could have taped it from the back. My printer also left white horizontal gaps, not sure if it was the cartridge or the printer itself.
I would love to see any posters that you create from this program. Post a link in the comments or email a photo.
