Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printers

I think I’ve found my next printer. My Lexmark X83 has served me well, but it is aged and the print quality seems to be getting worse each time IThe Kodak Easyshare 5100 All-in-One Printer change the cartridges. A replacement is needed and I think Kodak has just the printer I need.

Kodak recently introduced a new line of Easyshare All-in-One (AiO) printers. The big story with this new line of printers is not the usual specs like pages per minute, dpi, or other common features. The big story with the Kodak Easyshare AiO series of printers is the cost of replacement ink cartridges: $10 for black and $15 for a five color ink cartridge.

Here’s a snippet from Kodak’s press release page:

The KODAK EASYSHARE AiO Printers use Kodak’s premium, pigment-based ink, priced at $9.99 for a cartridge of black ink and $14.99 for a five-ink color cartridge (US MSRP). For every $15 spent on color ink and $10 spent on black ink, consumers can print the same number of pages at half the cost of other consumer inkjet printers. When the KODAK Photo Value Pack is purchased, a 4 x 6-inch photo costs as little as 10 cents per print.

At the moment, the Kodak Easyshare AiO printer will be available in three models starting in March of this year. The Kodak Easyshare 5100 will retail for $149.99, the 5300 for $199.99, and the 5500 for $299.99. Visit the Kodak Easyshare All-in-One printer page for more details.
