On Thursday, October 6, 2011, I had the honor of speaking at the FedEx E-commerce Seminar in Birmingham, Alabama. The topic of my presentation was “Turbo Charging Ecommerce”. I didn’t know the level of knowledge of the audience, only that they had an e-commerce presence. So I choose three points that I have found are often overlooked or ignored: SEO Basics, Building Online Trust, and Understanding Customer Personality Types.
The presentation went well and I received a lot of positive feedback.The only problem happened about 10 minutes into the presentation when the screen went blank. Luckily I had my notes, quickly found where I left off, and continued without little delay. Eventually the screen came back on and all was well.
